Mittelmarch Ranks


1. Peasant: The lowest of the low, any who beg borrow or steal weapons to defend themselves.
Requirements: no weapons/shield. No garb. No back story or no name.

2. Footman:
The backbone of any army, typical grunt soldier.
Requirements:

  • Must be proficient and in one weapon style.
  • Must own a weapon
  • Minimum garb requirements
  • Name and the start of a back story
  • Must defeat another footman in one on one combat
  • Must have paid realm dues

3. Choose your Path of Light or Dark (To achieve any further rank you must own your own weapons.)

The Paths of Light
High Guard -Frontline fighter
Requirements:

  • Sword and board mastery
  • Average garb
  • Complete backstory
  • Shield bash training
  • Run the Gauntlet of your Mastery*

Crusader -Line breaker/power flanker
Requirements:

  • Mastery of either Red Weapon/Florentine/Polearm
  • Average Garb
  • Complete Backstory
  • Run the Gauntlet of your Mastery*


Scout -Archer/speed flanker
Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Ranged weapons and single blue/florentine/dagger
  • Mastery with ranged weapon or Single Blue/Florentine/Dagger
  • Complete Backstory
  • Average Garb
  • Run the Speed Gauntlet**

Advanced Light Ranks***

High Watchman – You are home at the frontline and you have the foresight to defeat the enemy
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of High Guard and Crusader

Sentry – You are protector and hunter. You look for holes in the enemy line and slip through.
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of High Guard and Scout

Ranger – You travel unseen, if you aren’t picking the enemy apart from range, you’re flanking them.
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of Scout and Crusader

 

The Paths of Dark

Black Guard -Frontline fighter
Requirements:

  • Sword and board mastery
  • Average garb
  • Complete backstory
  • Shield bash training
  • Run the gauntlet of your Mastery


Berserker -Line breaker/power flanker
Requirements:

  • Mastery of either Red Weapon/Florentine/Polearm
  • Average Garb
  • Complete Backstory
  • Run the Gauntlet of your Mastery*


Assassin -Archer/speed flanker
Requirements:    

  • Proficiency with Ranged weapons and single blue/florentine/dagger proficiency
  • Mastery with ranged weapon or Single Blue/Florentine/Dagger
  • Complete Backstory
  • Average Garb
  • Run the Speed Gauntlet**

 

Advanced Dark Ranks***

Marauder – You demolish frontlines with focused rage.
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of Black Guard and Berserker

Shadowborn – You use guile and strength to shatter the hearts of your enemy.
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of Black Guard and Assassin

Blood-Drinker – The shadow is your home and from it you strike with your bloody rage.
Requirements:

  • Obtained the rank of Assassin and Berserker

 

WARMASTER
Requirements:    

  • Proficient in all weapon styles
  • 3 Masteries
  • Defeat a team of 3 best present fighters (Sword & board, Red/Polearm, Ranged)
  • Significantly aided the realm (Weapons Check/Run practice/Event Help/Photography/etc.) Must be agreed upon by the Council
  • Loaner gear to outfit 2 fighters


* The gauntlet you face 25 fighters in single combat until you beat them all.
** The speed gauntlet you must defeat 10 single blue fighters in 5 minutes armed with any Scout/Assassin weapons. If you are killed you start over at 1.

*** You may use the equivalent rank on the light/dark side to achieve an advanced rank, but the last rank you acquired will determine your alignment.
