Join us at the Mittelmarch Olympics for Belegarth foam fighting and fellowship, including single and group tournaments, field battles, competitions, classes, feast and more.

Additional Event and Site Policies
  • Fighters must be 16+ years of age or older.
  • Minors must either 1) have a parent or legal guardian on site or 2) provide a notarized waiver as well as a chaperone 21 years of age or older onsite all weekend.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be within sight of their guardian at all times and will be held to a 10pm in-camp curfew.
  • No underage drinking or use of illegal substances will not be tolerated.
  • Live steel is not permitted on the battlefield and must be kept in a sheath.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after at all times.
  • Minimum Belegarth-standard garb is required at all times in common areas; feast gear and attire is encouraged during the feast.
  • Period drinking vessels are required after dark.
  • Campsites are secured on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Camp master registration is not required, but all camps should have an established camp master for emergencies.
  • Firepits are welcome in camping areas; top soil/grass from in-ground firepits must be maintained and replaced on Sunday.
  • Campsites in the merchant and cabin areas (north side of the ‘road’ through the site) are restricted to above-ground fire bowls (site requirement).

Tournaments and Competitions Descriptions
Olympics tournaments and competitions, presented in order of appearance; see master schedule for specific start times for each activity.
  • Highlander Tournament – any single slashing weapon under six feet, armor permitted; must display Highlander tag(s) for the duration of the tournament
  • Longfellow’s Range – a “free shoot” space and tournament with throwing axes and archery using real tipped arrows and axes (timeframes limited)
  • Assassins Tournament – test your stealth against other assassins hunting the same prey; the first to submit a complete list of assassinations wins
  • Single Weapon – blue weapon
  • Two Weapons – blue weapons
  • Weapon and Shield – blue weapon and shield
  • Great Weapon – reds six feet and under
  • Polearm – all weapons six feet and over
  • Archery – speed, target
  • Novice – new players only (three years or less), armed as you choose; must never have won a foam fighting tournament before and be unbelted/unchained
  • Valkyrie – women only, armed and armored as you choose
  • Two Man – teams of two, armed and armored as you choose
  • Four Horsemen – teams of four, armed and armored as you choose
  • Arts and Sciences Competition – items must be entered under one of the eligible categories.
  • Tug of War – teams of five compete in a contest of strength and technique; each team may have one alternate
  • Mongolian Wrestling – two combatants wrestle until one is pushed out of the ring or touches the ground; M/F divisions
  • Bardic Competition – those with a theatrical heart are invited to perform and entertain; categories follow the Greek muses: Comedy, Tragedy, History
